This week, Zuli announced a milestone partnership with Logitech, bringing the reality of a truly smart and intuitive home to the masses a huge step forward.

Zuli’s smartplugs are now integrated into the Logitech Harmony Living Home products. What this means is that you will be able to simply walk through your home and the connected devices and appliances will respond to your presence and your preferences. The TV will turn on and tune into ESPN while the lights come up and the heating comes on. If you move from the living room to the kitchen, the TV programming will pause as the lights go on and the coffee pot begins to percolate. It sounds futuristic and magical, but it’s possible today with Zuli and Logitech’s family of connected partners.

Mark de la Vina and I attended the Logitech announcement event this week along with Zuli co-founders Taylor Umphreys and Sid Bhargava (in the photo at the top). In attendance were members of the press, Logitech partners, and executives. The event took place in the penthouse of The Battery, a swanky seen-and-be-seen private club in the heart of San Francisco and afforded us some spectacular views and the sun went down (Mark and I are showing the way to the TransAmerica Pyramid).

KGO Lifetrak giveawayMichael Finney of San Francisco ABC-affiliate KGO News has a special segment on Friday where he features a cool product that viewers can receive for free.  Here he’s talking about the LifeTrak activity monitor, which is paired with Azumio‘s Argus health and wellness app.  The offer sold out within minutes, highlighting the demand for a quality, easy-to-use activity monitor with rich, actionable data that can be analyzed and easily viewed on your smartphone.  (This is the same activity monitor that Coach Harbaugh of the 49ers loves.)

While you can no longer get LifeTrak through this offer, you can still obtain it through their website, and as always, you can download Azumio’s Argus for free, anytime, at www.azumio.com/argus.

It was an evening of sweet celebration at the Bluxome Street Winery in San Francisco last week, when Riccardo Zacconi, CEO and co-founder of King.com took the stage to welcome attendees and announce the newest mobile game to hit the iOS platform:  Candy Crush Saga.  Over one hundred people gathered to hear the news from the industry and press, while also enjoying sumptuous nibbles prepared by Master Chefs from the International Culinary Center (also a Consort Partners client).  Joining Riccardo on stage were Sean Ryan, Facebook’s Head of Global Games, as well as the effervescent Tommy Palm, Mobile Guru from King.com.

In addition to Candy Crush Saga on mobile, King.com also announced the release of their newest Facebook game, Pet Rescue Saga.

Following the party, Consorters were relieved to be able to sleep nights again after stressing out over all the details of the party, from the attendees, to the A/V, to the music to the ambiance   But it was all worth it and turned out great (big thanks to the staff at the International Culinary Center for their incredible catering and molecular mixology!).

Congratulations to King.com – we love their games, their people and their energy!
